Aloha,
Trains, Planes, Boats and Automobiles: Four contries in twelve days.
This trip I decided to be a little more adventurous. During planning my 2002 trip to Hungary I had discovered information on taking a hydrofoil down the Danube from Vienna to Budapest, but was unable to make it fit into the trip.
This trip I started in Vienna, which allowed me to visit another Hapsburg Palace as well as visit Salzburg, and took that hydrofoil ride to get to Budapest.
While in Budapest I visited the medieval village of Pecs - a beautiful little town located near the Croation border with Hungary. From Pecs we went to Siklos Castle (by now you have figured out I love castles) and finished up the day with a personal wine tasting at a winery in Villanykovesd.
From Budapest I took the train to Krakow. While in Krakow I visited the towns of Dunajec and Zakopane.
I finished up the trip by flying to Praha (and stayed at the Palace Hotel again) so that I could visit the town of Cesky Budejovice, Jindrichuv Hradec (Castle) and Hluboka Castle.
I hope you enjoy the photos from this trip.
Until then,
-
