Images From my Trip to Cesky Budejovice
Photos in Album: 35
These are pictures from my trip to Cesky Budejovice, home of the REAL Budweiser, on the way to seeing Hluboka Castle and Jindrichuv Hradec (Castle)
And naturally we had to stop for some fine Cesky Pivo (Czech Beer). If you look closely at the sign you will see that the beer costs from 17 to 26 Czech Crowns (see this universal converter for the US equivalent, which as of the date of this entry was from .63 to .97) per glass of pure, liquid gold. The Czechs have the highest per capita beer consumption in the world. If you want to drink the very best, drink Cesky Pivo and you too can enjoy the millenia-old Czech philosophy of "where beer is found, life is good." And if you want to know more about how the American beer makers appear to have bullied the Czechs be sure and read the trademark dispute link here.
Tradition is that it is good luck to step on this stone in the courtyard
