Images Traveling by Train from Budapest to Krakow
Photos in Album: 5
I decided to take the train from Budapest to Krakow. This was my first time to take the train in Europe, and it was an experience. I learned that when you take the train, you want to make sure you have very few, very small bags, as space can be very tight, even in first class. Because I had one large bag, I had a hard time making the transfers between trains. Once I got to krakow I arranged to take a flight from Krakow to Praha instead of using my train reservations.
This photo gives you an idea of what apartment complexes built by the communists look like. Believe it or not, the communists actually had a name for this building style, calling "social realizm."
Interestingly enough, almost all of the trains in Europe are electric. This photo was taken at the train station in Breclav.
